Who is this course for?
IQ Weather is designed for children 10+. It can easily be adapted for younger or older children with its lesson plans, discussion questions, and optional additional reading material and resources.
My children, ages 6-14, have all been enjoying the videos and learning about the weather.
If you have a budding meteorologist, they will be stoked to watch the videos of professionals and storm chasers.
How does this course work?
IQ Weather is an online video-based course.
It features 20 short professionally-produced video lessons, quizzes, experiments, and more.
Each lesson includes a short video (about five minutes in length), a quiz, a teacher’s guide, and lesson resources. The teacher’s guide and lesson resources can be downloaded and printed if desired.
IQ Weather can stand alone as a science unit study or as a supplement to other science courses.
Several experiments are included as well and I love that you can simply watch the video and discuss it. Or, if you’d like, you can also easily replicate those experiments at home with the included PDF instructions.
They also offer online quizzes that display your child’s results immediately. Your child can easily retake any quizzes they’d like.

I love that IQ Weather makes it so easy for children to learn how the weather influences their daily activities, including their mode of transportation, what they will wear, and more.
Then, for older children, the interviews and experiments give an in-depth look and knowledge of weather and its impact on us.
IQ Weather is so effortless to teach – it requires no prep!
We were so impressed with IQ Weather! The videos were captivating (even my 14-year-old, who wasn’t too keen on the subject at first, really enjoyed the videos!) and so well done. They made it so easy to understand the topics and retain the information.
I loved that the videos weren’t too long so it didn’t feel overwhelming.
This program is terrific – especially if science intimidates you!
