If you’ve ever struggled to make history interesting in your homeschool, you’re not alone. Many history programs feel dry, overwhelming, or packed with facts that children quickly forget. That’s one reason I was so excited to explore The Story of the World Volume 1 Expanded Edition Bundle.
Although Story of the World Volume 1 is designed for grades 1-4, my 15-year-old daughter was eager to start reading it right away. I think that speaks volumes about how engaging the writing is. Families who want to dive deeper can explore additional books and resources related to the topics being studied.
This makes it easy to create rabbit trails for children who become especially interested in a particular civilization or historical period.
I appreciate that the curriculum encourages curiosity and independent learning.

One of the biggest challenges homeschool parents face is finding a curriculum that fits their family’s unique needs.

You can keep things simple by reading the lessons and answering review questions.
