Math for 18 month olds? As crazy as it may sound, research has shown that early math skills are a better predictor of academic success than early reading skills (thank you, Timberdoodle for that new-to-me fact!).
Since introducing worksheets to this young age group isn’t feasible, what better way to work on patterns, building structures, and following instructions than with hands-on activities.
That’s where Junior Rainbow Pebbles come in! Their smooth, rubbery pebbles are sure to be a hit with the entire family – from the 18-month-old baby to your elementary students and beyond.
The Junior Rainbow Pebbles Activity Set includes 36 pebbles and 8 double-sided activity cards.
As soon as I placed the pebbles and the activity cards out for Miss 19 months, she immediately started placing the pebbles on the cards. I was impressed that she even placed the correctly colored pebbles on the cards (most of the time). 🙂
Miss 3 also enjoyed the pebbles and cards and I have a feeling this will be something we will use daily while big sisters work on their schoolwork.
Even Miss 6 and Miss 9 enjoyed the Rainbow Pebbles.
They seriously have the most wonderful smooth, velvety texture. Even I couldn’t stop playing with them! They’re fun to stack, make rainbows with, and use with other toys (they make the perfect stepping stones for small fairies or Duplo figures).
I found this activity set to be incredibly fun and educational but I’m not the only one who loved it – my kiddos did too!
I would highly recommend this activity set to anyone with toddlers, preschoolers, or elementary students.

This looks like such a beautiful educational toy! The bright colors intrigue me and I can totally see kids using it as they get older and making up their own rules and requirements.
