I’m so excited to share with you an amazing book for kids: An Animal a Day! It’s gorgeous and packed full of interesting facts about animals!
It designed so that you read about one new animal each day but you will likely find yourself reading more because it’s just so captivating!
The cover is gorgeous (I love when a book’s cover is beautiful!) and the pages are super durable!
The full color pages are so beautifully done and if you add one new book to your collection this year (or week 😅), let it be this one!
My children all loved this book – all the way from Miss just-turned-seven to Miss 14. I kept finding them reading through it and it’s easy to see why – it’s a stunning book!
Why An Animal a Day is so Awesome
- Gorgeous Illustrations: Each page boasts beautiful full-color images of animals and their environment.
- Quality: This hardcover book is made so well – the cover is durable and so are the pages!
- It Makes Learning Fun: Every day brings a new animal with fun facts, adorable pictures, and often a surprising tidbit that’ll have your kid shouting, “Mom! Did you know a gulper eel’s mouth is 1/3 the size of its body?!”
- It Builds a Daily Habit: One animal a day = short, sweet, and manageable. It’s the perfect way to encourage daily reading or journaling, especially for homeschoolers or for after-school. Pair it with drawing the animal or writing a sentence about it? You have a whole mini unit study on your hands.
- It’s Perfectly Bite-Sized for Busy Days: Some days are Pinterest-perfect and other days are … not … Either way, you can always fit in one animal.
- It’s a Conversation Starter: Reading together sparks questions like, “How can the Andean condor stay aloft for more than 90 minutes without flapping its wings once?”
- It Grows with the Kids: Little ones will love the pictures and animal names. Older kids can go deeper — researching, drawing, writing reports, or turning the info into pretend news reports or puppet shows. Miss 7 enjoyed matching the animals to the wooden animals we had.
- Common Animals and Not So Common Animals: Many common animals are included that you may see daily or at the zoo but many animals that you have likely never heard of are included as well.

Journey through over 200 pages, including a glossary, index, and table of contents.
Animals include:
- Okapi
- Peacock
- Leafy seadragon
- Blobfish
- Armored ground cricket
