Hello and welcome to The Art Kit! I’m Dana—a wife, mom of four, homebody, homeschooler, creator, and extremely picky shopper.
My family loves arts and crafts, imaginative play, baking, games, nature walks, making messes, and finding new ways to have fun together. One of my favorite ways to spend an afternoon is simply walking in the sunshine with my family and noticing all the interesting little things along the way.
I also love organizing, simplifying, decorating, and finding products that make everyday life easier or more enjoyable. My educational background includes interior design, home staging, redesign, and digital media design, so I have always been drawn to things that are both useful and beautiful.
How The Art Kit Began
The Art Kit originally began with themed art kits inspired by my children and their interests. It later grew into a place where I shared crafts, creative activities, homeschool resources, and printables for families.
I still love creating printables, and you’ll find thousands of them here—including learning activities, games, coloring pages, seasonal resources, and projects for kids.
But over the years, The Art Kit has grown into so much more.
Readers began asking about the games my children played, the homeschool resources we used, the products in our home, and the interesting things I discovered online. I realized that finding and sharing worthwhile products was something I genuinely loved doing.
And yes, I’m the person who shops sales throughout the year to keep the gift closet stocked. When I discover a particularly good product, helpful discount, or hard-to-pass-up offer, I want to tell everyone about it.
