Studiostone Creative Soapstone Carving Kit (Bear): Timberdoodle Product Review

Studiostone Creative makes creating your own soapstone masterpiece easy!
To start, simply file your pre-cut shape (there are many different shapes to choose from, such as bears, turtles, etc.) with the included file.
Miss 12 loved working on her bear and took the project outside to enjoy some nature time while she worked. You can file it as much or as little as you’d like – making each creation truly unique.
After, filing, sand the bear (two different grits are included in the kit) and rinse.
After shaping and smoothing the bear to your liking, you will blow dry the bear for five minutes to warm the stone and prepare it for waxing!
We used our time timer for this!
The bear is starting to take shape – wait until you see it waxed! 😍
Then, rub the included wax on the warm bear to melt it on.
Miss 12 also spread bits of the wax on the bear and then used the blow dryer to melt the wax directly on the bear. Both options worked well.
That’s it! So easy and fun, right? Miss 12 really enjoyed carving her own soapstone bear and I loved her creation. What a wonderful gift idea!
