This textbook certainly packs in the information!
I really enjoyed the size of the book – its smaller size compared to most textbooks makes it easy to read anywhere!
I also loved all the colorful images to break up the text. In fact, I have yet to see one page without at least one graphic.
Experimental investigations are included to give your student a hands-on learning experience.
Miss 12 found the chapter on oceanography particularly interesting. Chapter 12 outlines such topics as:
- Ocean currents
- Seawater
- Marine life
- Ocean life
- And more!
Even younger children will enjoy learning new facts! Miss 7 enjoyed the chapter on gemstones.
Each chapter starts with a set of objectives and vocabulary terms.
Learning checks are also included throughout the chapters to ensure that your child is retaining the information they’re reading.
They could either give the answers orally or write them in a notebook or journal.
Planet Earth includes a healthy combination of real-life photographs as well as illustrations to enhance the information given in the text.
If you’re in the market for a new science book, consider Plant Earth. It would even make a great read-aloud book.
