God’s Very Good Idea is full of colorful and eye-catching illustrations. The book starts off very light-hearted and fun, and notes that in the beginning, God had a very good idea. His idea was even better than chocolate chip cookies, solar panels, or roller skates.
God’s very good idea was to make people. Lots of people! People made in his image.

God made a beautiful world for people to live in.
In time, more people covered the Earth, people made in God’s image but that all looked different. Some were men, some women, some had darker skin, and some lighter. Some liked riding bikes, others liked reading books.
People sinned though, and as a result, everyone needs God’s forgiveness. God was not surprised by this though, for he always had a very good plan.
Jesus came to Earth and loved people, even those that no one else loved.
Jesus died for our sins so that we could live forever with Him.
