Review of Indescribable: 100 Devotions about God & Science
Indescribable:100 Devotions about God & Science is a great book to answer all those inquisitive questions children have about the world around them. Each devotion begins with a Bible verse that pertains to that page’s topic and then talks about how that particular topic, all while showing why it is important to know and how it relates to God, our life, and our relationship with Him.
Each devotion also ends with a short prayer.

This is a great book to simply use on its own or to use as a stepping stone to learning even more about that particular subject.
We pulled out our rock collection to learn a bit more about rocks while we read devotion #69 on rocks.
We pulled out our shark tooth while we learned that sharks have several rows of teeth in their mouths – some with as many as 50 rows! Wow! Imagine if you had to brush and floss that many teeth!
Our mini solar system set was just perfect to use alongside the devotion about Earth on page 172. We learned quite a bit about our world while reading Indescribable: 100 Devotions about God & Science, such as the fact that scientists now think that a ninth planet might exist somewhere past Neptune, and have labeled it “Planet Nine.” To learn more about this new planet, as well as countless other interesting facts, be sure to check out this fantastic book.
Questions are also asked throughout, which is great to ensure that the children are listening and understanding what is being read to them.
We also loved that the devotions were short and sweet, just perfect for those with short attention spans. 🙂
