The kids had so much fun with our pumpkin playdough mats that we knew we had to make a new set to go along with our gingerbread playdough!
We recently shared our gingerbread playdough activity with Life of a Homeschool Mom (feel free to hop on over to her blog to grab our recipe for gingerbread playdough) and then download our gingerbread boy playdough mats to get started on this fun activity! If you’d rather not use playdough, or if you’d like to change things up, feel free to substitute the playdough for small gems, counting cubes, or any small items that might fit into the squares.
Once you’ve printed your playdough mats, be sure to either laminate them or place them into dry erase pocket sheets.
Once you’ve protected the mats, and you have your playdough or counting objects, direct your child to place the correct number of objects or playdough pieces onto each mat.
Ask your child to trace the letters and numbers as they complete each mat. They can trace with their finger or with a dry erase marker.
