Looking for a game that combines the thrill of strategy with a bit of chaos? Crabs in a Bucket is a fast-paced card game designed for 2-6 players, where the objective is simple: be the first to discard all your cards. But watch out—the lobster can change everything in an instant!
Game Overview
Inspired by classic card games, Crabs in a Bucket introduces a fresh twist with a 74-card deck comprising 52 standard-suited cards and 22 unique Joker Crabs. Players discard by matching the suit or number of the top card in the discard pile. The Joker Crabs, each based on real crab species, add unpredictable elements like forcing opponents to draw cards or swap hands. And then there's the lobster—a card you can't play but must find a clever way to discard before it sinks your chances of winning.

It totally opens the door to all sorts of rabbit (crab?) trails—you could research the species after a round or even build a quick mini unit study around them. Crab notebooking pages, anyone?
The kids had a blast playing and I loved how unique of a game it is!
