Yarn Transfer Toddler Activity
Transfer activities are so easy to put together, can be used over and over again, and are such fun for toddlers and preschoolers! Our just-turned-one-year-old put this activity together herself while big sisters were working on their own craft. 🙂 Read on to see where we found the perfect miniature skeins of yarns for small hands.

What You’ll Need
What to Do
Begin by setting the pail out and place the yarn beside it. Demonstrate transferring one skein of yarn to your toddler or preschooler. Then, ask your child to place the rest of the yarn in the pail.
Our little one filled her bucket, poured the yarn out, and filled it again and again. She was quite entertained by this transfer activity. We also love this bee transfer activity for preschoolers.
We loved the soft yarn, its bright colors, and its perfect size for small hands. A win-win for all! 🙂
How did your little one enjoy this yarn transfer activity? We had so much fun with this activity! We’d love to see you enjoying it – share with us on social media #theartkit.

Once they’ve mastered this, you could introduce child-sized tweezers and see if they are able to transfer them that way. Or, ask them to transfer the blue yarn, or green, etc., to practice colors as well.
