Oh, watermelons! Such a classic summer treat. We’ve had so much fun with our watermelon crafts lately that we thought paper plate watermelon slices would be the perfect addition to our watermelon craft collection.
What You’ll Need
What to Do
Begin by gathering your painting supplies.
Cut your paper plate into four slices, squirt some paint onto another small paper plate, and begin painting. We mixed some green and white to make our lighter green color (any excuse for kids to mix paint, right?). 🙂
Once the paint has dried, glue on your googly eyes and decorate your watermelon slices as desired. We added faces, eyelashes, and cheeks. 🙂
How did your paper plate watermelons turn out? Did you and the kids love making them? We had so much fun with this activity! We’d love to see you enjoying it – share with us on social media #theartkit.
