Paper Plate Watermelon Craft for Kids

This paper plate watermelon craft for kids is just perfect for spring or summer. It is an easy painting craft that can made with items already found in your home.

Oh, watermelons! Such a classic summer treat.
We’ve had so much fun with our watermelon crafts lately that we thought paper plate watermelon slices would be the perfect addition to our watermelon craft collection.
What You’ll Need
- Paint (red, green, white, and black)
- Paintbrush
- Paper plates (we used this small size)
- Scissors
- Googly eyes
- Black marker
- Pink pen
What to Do
Begin by gathering your painting supplies.
Cut your paper plate into four slices, squirt some paint onto another small paper plate, and begin painting. We mixed some green and white to make our lighter green color (any excuse for kids to mix paint, right?). 🙂
Once the paint has dried, glue on your googly eyes and decorate your watermelon slices as desired. We added faces, eyelashes, and cheeks. 🙂
