We’re back again with another fun Sensory TheraPlay subscription box review. In case you didn’t see our previous review, the Sensory TheraPlay box is curated for children with autism/sensory needs in mind but is also perfectly suitable for children of all abilities.
Each box is carefully curated by a licensed occupational therapist so you can be certain the best sensory items are included in each box. Toys that help develop important sensory motor skills and stimulate the senses are included and will engage your child in fun sensory play. To get a sneak peek into their June 2018 box, please continue reading below.
Subscription Box for Kids: Sensory TheraPlay Box
If you’ve been looking for fun sensory toys and activities to do with your child, we’re certain you will love this wonderful subscription box for kids from Sensory TheraPlay.
Each month you’ll receive a new box of 5-6 sensory items as well as an info card with helpful information about each included item.
As I placed all the items on the table, I could hardly keep the kids from everything – they were so excited! In fact, if you look closely, Miss 2 had already managed to dig her hands into the putty by the time I snapped this shot. 🙂
The June 2018 box included the following high-quality items:
Handee Band – After a few minutes of play, Miss 7 declared, “This is awesome, I love this thing!” and we couldn’t agree more! This fun strengthening and sensory exercise kit is great for increasing strength. Even just-turned-Miss-two loved the stretchy band and the cute book of stretching ideas.
Balloon Skinz – Simply insert a deflated balloon into the cover, blow it up, and you have a super fun, adorable, stuffed animal ball! I had something similar as a child and absolutely loved it! I love that it is lighter than a traditional ball but with the cover, the balloon is protected and not as likely to pop. The kids have been having a blast playing “horse volleyball.”
Fun and Function Putty Elements – We absolutely love playdough and putty and this one did not disappoint! Putty Elements is a gluten-free, casein, latex, and soy-free putty. It also didn’t stick to the toys Miss 2 squished it into, which was a huge plus!
Crazy Aaron’s Thinking Putty – Scented putty that smells like a day at the beach! Sign me up! Miss 2 played with this putty the entire time Miss 5 and Miss 7 looked through the rest of the box. We love Crazy Aaron’s Thinking Putty – they have so many fun colors. We’ve even used their “mix your own putty kit” in the past and the kids loved it!
DynaCube – The Dynacube is unlike anything I have seen before. It was a huge blast and I couldn’t put it down! It is a fun manipulative visual toy that seamlessly folds from one shape to another. What a fun fidget toy!
Scraffiti, So Cool – This scratch and sketch booklet was a blast (I loved it t00) and was so relaxing to work on. It kept the kiddos busy for hours. To use, simply use the wooden stylus to scratch off the top layer, revealing a rainbow of colors beneath. Not only was it a great quiet-time activity, but it’s great for fine motor and visual motor skills too.
Melissa & Doug Sequin Art – We all loved this mess-free craft activity! Each sheet has sticky (similar to contact paper) areas. Using the included pick-up tool, grab a sequin, and press it on the sticky area of the sheet. Once complete, you will have a beautiful and sparkly piece of art!
Each sensory box also includes a motivational card, which I love! What a thoughtful addition!
This sensory-filled subscription box for kids was packed full of quality and fun sensory items and is definitely one I would recommend to others. The items are all very high-quality, fun, and great for working on numerous important skills.
