What to Do
Begin by gathering the needed supplies for this fine motor skills activity. You can adjust the level of difficulty of this activity by selecting wider or narrower straws. We chose to use wider straws but may repeat this activity again with thinner straws at a later time.
Next, cut the straws into smaller sections and place them into a container.
Place your cut straws and pipe cleaners out and invite your child to string the cut straw pieces onto the pipe cleaner. You could bend one end of the pipe cleaner to ensure the straw pieces do not fall off.
