Looking for a very simple activity for kids? This farm animal matching activity is as simple as they come and requires only a puzzle and a few animal figures. Read on to see how we put it all together.
What You’ll Need
- Farm puzzle (we used this one but I also found this one which looks great as well)
- Animal figurines: Cow, pig, bunny, horse, sheep, hen
- You could also include baby animals as well, and have your child match the baby with the mother animal
What to Do
Begin by setting the puzzle out for your child and invite them to put it together. We’ve had this puzzle for many years and are just amazed by the quality and adorable animal illustrations.

Next, place the farm animals out and invite your child to match the farm animals with the illustrations on the puzzle.
To add another step, you could introduce the baby animal and ask your child to match it with the mother animal.
