We love activity books for kids that are filled with bright colors, fun images, and thick paper. We’re happy to share we’ve found a fantastic activity book geared towards kids ages 3-6 that has all of that.
Draw and Learn Animals and Places has approximately 100 double-sided pages of prompts that center around drawing and learning about animals and places.
To see all the fun we had with this activity book, as well as many photos of the interior pages, please continue reading below.
What You’ll Need
- Draw and Learn Animals and Places Activity Book
- Markers, pens, colored pencils, or crayons (these are our favorites – some are even erasable!)
My first impression of the book was that it was very substantial. I wasn’t expecting such a thick book but I was very pleasantly surprised to see that it was huge! Once the kids and I opened it up and looked inside, we were excited to see many colorful pages and fun creative prompts. What a fun activity book!

I loved the simple design of the pages as well. Each page gives one simple and easy to understand prompt, such as “draw what’s missing,” “color the butterfly,” or “draw and color” the picture. The pages were all very easy to press flat which is always important. Nothing is more frustrating to a little one than pages in an activity book that keep flopping closed.

Even though the Draw and Learn Animals and Places activity book is marketed towards children ages 3-6, everyone enjoyed the book – including Miss 17 months, Miss 4 years, and Miss 7 years. They even had fun pulling out their animal figurines and matching them to the animals in the book. Then they got silly and played mismatch (as you can see the zebra figurine that was matched to the dog page). 🙂

Do you have children between the ages of 3 and 6? If so, we highly recommend this Draw and Learn Animals and Places activity book. Not only is it a fun activity book but it also helps teach children about following instructions, critical thinking skills, and is a great precursor to more advanced books.
