One of the pages notes that “In Greek mythology, Medusa had live snakes for hair” and then asks the student to list problems that someone with snakes for hair would have, and then draw a portrait of Medusa.
Your child will be asked to write adjectives that begin with an S that describe snakes, to complete snake word problems, compose a short rhyming poem, illustrate the poem, and write down how many different kinds of snakes they know.
Don’t worry though, if snakes aren’t your thing, there are many different topics, such as:
- Trees
- Mountains
- Dolphins and whales
- Cars
- The supermarket
- Sticky stuff
- Hats and caps
- And many, many more!
Critical and Creative 4 would work well as an addition to your curriculum or even as a fun activity to work on during the summer or on the go throughout the year.
I was very impressed with not only the variety of topics but the activities as well and would highly recommend adding this workbook to your collection.
I also loved how they snuck in lots of fun facts!
