We’re in full-time spring crafting mode over here and recently put together a quick and fun flower craft for the kids. They look adorable on a windowsill and make great gifts as well! To see all the fun, please continue reading below.
What You’ll Need
- Mini flower pots
- Wooden hearts
- Paint
- Paintbrush
- Hot glue gun and hot glue sticks
- Green pipe cleaner
- Green crinkle paper
- Green cardstock paper
- Googly eyes

What to Do
Begin by painting the wood hearts. You could also decorate the hearts with these (no mess and they’ll be dry within minutes). While they dry, cut the pipe cleaner to a desired height, place a large dab of hot glue into the center of the pot, and place the pipe cleaner into the center of it.
Next, add crinkle paper to the pot.

Next, cut out two leaf shapes from the cardstock paper and attach the leaves to the pipe cleaner stem. Attach the painted heart by applying hot glue to the back and hold it firmly to the pipe cleaner. This may be a good step for the parents to complete (I used tweezers to press the pipe cleaner onto the heart to avoid any burns). Attach two googly eyes and draw a face on the heart if desired.
Your flower craft is now complete! You could also paint the pot beforehand or tie a ribbon around it as well.
This would also make a great Mother’s Day gift!
