What is the Baby Shusher?
The Baby Shusher omits rhythmic shushing noises that soothe a crying baby.
Shushing is a time-tested and doctor-approved technique. In fact, it is one of the 5 S's described in Dr. Karp's book, The Happiest Baby on the Block.
I first discovered the power of shushing when my oldest was a baby but often wished there was something I could play that would do the shushing for me so that I could rest my voice a bit.
When I first heard about the Baby Shusher, just a few weeks ago, I was skeptical. Was this just a gimmick? A waste of money? Would it sound artificial?
As soon as I tried it, however, I was sold! Not only did it sound exactly like my own shushing sound but it calmed Miss 2 weeks right down. I actually found it soothing as well.
It is easy to use (perfect for sleep-deprived parents), portable (great for using in the car or out and about), and comes with two timer options (15 or 30 minutes).
We definitely found the Baby Shusher helpful and would recommend it to all expectant or new parents.
