Today we’re sharing the first of several fun watermelon activities for the kids. For this one, we’re taking it back to the basics – a simple cutting and pasting craft for kids. Read on to see just how easy (and cute!) these little watermelon slices are.
If you’re looking for a simple craft project for the kids, it doesn’t get any easier than this! Simply print the watermelon slices and seeds out and cut and paste them. Easy, right? Okay, let’s get started!
What You’ll Need
- Watermelon seed activity printable pack(download link below)
- Scissors (these are the best and they have several fun colors to choose from)
- Glue stick
What to Do
Begin by printing the watermelon seed printable pack (if you haven’t signed up for our newsletter, you can do so here. If you are already a subscriber, you can access these in the resource library).
Gather your supplies and get started cutting the watermelon and seeds out. Depending on the age of your child, they may need some assistance.
Once the seeds have been cut out, they are ready to be glued to the watermelon. You could also glue buttons, pom poms, sequins, or anything else you may have around the house, if you’d prefer that to the paper seeds. Or, you could do this activity many times, selecting a different type of object to use as the seeds each time.
If you have actual watermelon seeds, they would work perfectly too!
