Easy to Navigate Dashboard

I love how easy their dashboard is to navigate. I’ve used a lot of different online homeschool programs over the years and this was by far the easiest I’ve used. The last thing we need is a complicated, time-consuming, stressful dashboard; fortunately, IXL isn’t any of those things. It normally takes me a bit to orient myself but not with IXL. Thank you, IXL, for designing such an intuitive dashboard for parents and students!

Diagnostic-Driven Learning

With their diagnostic-driven learning, you can identify your child’s strengths and areas for growth. I love that kids can focus on very specific skills with IXL. I don’t know about your kids but mine aren’t particularly fond of reviewing the same concepts over and over again. With IXL, they can focus on just what they need extra help with. Fractions, for example. IXL offers dozens of different fraction exercises for every stage of understanding. It’s great for:

Reinforcing what they’re learning elsewhere
Reviewing weak areas
Catching up on missed concepts

Their games are unlike any I’ve seen on other learning platforms – they are engaging, colorful, fun, and educational – the kids are learning without it feeling like work.

Independent Learning

Plus, I love that IXL encourages independent learning. This is helpful for busy parents, particularly those teaching multiple children. IXL provides real-time feedback and step-by-step explanations to help kids learn confidently.

If your child is unsure how to solve a particular problem, they can watch a video on the subject. Just click the video link above the lesson. I love how easy it is to navigate and help is always just a click away!

Today, my children learned about ancient China – all without prompting from me – on the weekend, no less.

No waiting around for the answer key. Kids get instant feedback, with explanations if they miss something. It helps the lesson stick in real time. I love this aspect!

Detailed Analytics for Parents

Parents get detailed analytics showing time spent, skills mastered, trouble spots, and more. You can even track growth over time. I loved the analytics and the ease of deciphering them. This is huge and so important – especially if your child is working independently.
