What to Do
- Making the Playdough
Begin by making a batch or two (we typically make one batch per child) of our one-pot playdough. This is our tried and true recipe that is super easy to make. After you’ve made your playdough, allow it to cool a few minutes and then carefully plop it onto a sheet of parchment paper. While it cools, you can take out your additional supplies needed for this ground cloves playdough activity and place them in your divided tray.
Once your playdough has cooled enough to handle, simply make a bit of an indentation in your playdough, add in two teaspoons of ground cloves in the middle of your playdough, and fold your playdough over and over until it has been incorporated.

Playdough playtime!
Once your playdough has been scented, place it into your divided tray, along with the other materials, and invite your child to play. We made a simple invitation to play and set out some glass stones, pom poms, rolling pins, cookie cutters, and gems. Miss 17 months, Miss 4 years, and Miss 7 years all had a blast playing with the ground gloves playdough. It smelled SO GOOD!

We also made a batch of vanilla playdough and cinnamon playdough and they both paired really well with the ground cloves playdough. They all smelled so good together!
