We’ve been looking for new ways to use cinnamon sticks ever since we made that yummy-smelling cinnamon playdough a few weeks back.

Well, we’re happy to report that today we were able to use them to make a super easy cinnamon stick Christmas tree craft. Not only are they cute as a button but they smell great too! Perfect for the Christmas season. To see just how easy this craft is, please continue reading below.

What to Do

Begin by cutting a triangle out of your green glitter cardstock.

Next, turn it over and hot glue your cinnamon stick to the back of your paper.

Now, attach your buttons (we used hot glue but school glue should work just fine too, especially if you are making this with younger children). If you do use hot glue, just be careful when pressing the buttons down as some of the hot glue may come through the button holes.

Miss 7 even attached a yellow button to the top of her cinnamon stick Christmas tree to represent a star. She also layered some of the buttons for extra interest. Such a simple yet fun craft! Perfect for Christmastime.
