Review: All About Reading - Level 1 - New Color Edition
Homeschoolers have been singing praises about All About Reading for some time and after working through their pre-reading program last year, I quickly found out why!
All About Reading presents the concepts in such a way that it is not only easy for the students to understand but it is also easy and fun for the instructor to teach - a winning combination if you ask me!
I love that All About Reading is lightly scripted and their "open and go" lessons make it so easy and stress-free.

After skimming the books and preparing our reading review box, we started with lesson one. Miss 5 worked through the lesson with me and enjoyed it so much that we quickly moved on to the next lesson.
Even Miss 2 enjoyed working on the activity with us. I brought out some sequins and pom poms and turned the activity into a fun learning craft. 🙂
All About Reading has one of, if not the best, teacher's manuals. I love how clearly everything is laid out. Right away you'll know what letters you will be working on, what the objective is, what you'll need, and what to do before starting the lesson.
Very little prep work is needed beforehand. In fact, I don't really set aside more than just a few minutes before starting the lesson to prepare. I love that!
Then, the teacher's manual walks you right through the lesson, leaving no confusion as to how to teach your student.
In addition, the lessons are fun, colorful, and so engaging.
With All About Reading, learning is truly made fun!

We also really enjoyed the readers. The stories were short enough and engaging enough to keep Miss 5's interest as she read and she felt so proud as she completed each story.
Dogs dust with dishcloths. How fun! These adorable readers will give your little readers lots of giggles!
