We like to place everything on the table and let the little ones decorate and play as they wish. You can direct them if you’d like but more times than not, they enjoy the time to have open-ended play. And of course we enjoy the playtime too! Ours like to layer their cupcakes and decorate them with beads and gems.

You could also roll out a long piece of playdough and spiral it on top of a playdough cupcake. Is it just us (and our sweet tooth) or does this look delicious?!

Our little ones also like to put pony beads on top of pipe cleaners or candles and then blow them off as though they were blowing out real candles.
