With the winter season coming, I decided it would be prudent to include a few immunity-boosting products in my weekly Thrive Market order.
This week from Thrive Market, I bought:
Throat Coat Lemon Echinacea Herbal Tea
Support throat health and immune function with this organic tea from Traditional Medicinals.
Bamboo Hybrid Bath Tissue
So many stores have sold out of toilet paper, it’s crazy! This is the brand I purchase because it is made with an eco-friendly blend of recycled pulp and fast-growing, renewable bamboo—which is naturally watered with rainwater and requires no pesticides or fertilizers to grow. Soft and strong, each roll is completely chlorine- and fragrance-free.
Unscented Super Shea Bar Soap
It is important to wash your hands well (20-30 seconds, they say) and frequently. This bar soap helps keep your hands soft with all that hand washing. We use this in the tub as well and it works well as a full body wash and also as a shaving cream replacement.
Tulsi Morning Tea
Tulsi (Holy Basil) and Moringa (Moringa oleifera) are two of the most unique herbs to come out of India, and together, they offer a myriad of health benefits. Tulsi is well known in the West for its adaptogenic benefits and uses in combating stress.
Organic Thyme
Thyme is anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, and aids respiratory ailments. You can even use it to make tea! Pour 1 cup of hot water over 1 teaspoon of dried thyme or 2 teaspoons of fresh leaves. Steep for 10 minutes and strain.
Organic Garlic Powder
Garlic contains compounds that help the immune system fight germs. Sprinkle some on your next meal and your body will thank you!
Organic Defense Blend Essential Oil
The recipe for Thrive Market’s organic Defense Blend comes from a 15th century legend, where it was believed to have protective powers. Made from a powerful mixture of cinnamon, clove, lemon, lime, eucalyptus, rosemary, spearmint, and marjoram oils, it has a spicy and earthy aroma that works to calm, ground, and comfort. Many reviewers mentioned using this on the bottoms of their feet and in their diffusers to keep their families healthy during flu season.
