We recently stumbled across a new product (or at least new to us) that was so fun we just had to share! Read on below to learn more about this fun locket making activity from ALEX Toys.
Does your little one enjoy craft time? Love dressing up or putting on jewelry? If so, this is the perfect activity! In fact, we spent the better half of the afternoon creating all sorts of lockets, bracelets, and key chains with the help of the Lil Lockitz Memory Studio.
But what is it exactly, you ask? Well, it reminds us of the popular Origami Owl, with its floating charms inside.
The concept behind this product is very simple (which we love!) and not the least bit messy (bonus!) which makes it a great quiet time activity. Rainy day afternoon project, anyone?
You begin by placing the bottom portion of the locket on the memory studio base, fill it with a background and charms, choose a top for your locket, place firmly on top, and turn the dial to play a few seconds of pleasant music and watch as the lights dance along.
Then, you can attach either a necklace cord, bracelet ribbon, or key chain attachment. Super easy and also interchangeable in case your little artist decides they want to change things up later.
If your little one likes to organize their things, they will love all the compartments the Lil Lockitz Memory Studio comes with and all the accessories included that just beg to be sorted and organized.
The suggested age for this Lil Lockitz Memory Studio is 5+ but I'm certain younger children would enjoy this activity just as much as the five and up group but you know your child best!

The children had so much fun designing and creating their jewelry that once they had made them all, it was impossible to pick just one favorite, so they decided to wear ALL the items at once. 🙂
We were impressed with the quality of the items and the ease of assembly. The children were impressed with the lights, songs, and cute charms. 🙂
