The Superkids Activity Guide to Conquering Every Day
We recently received a new activity book for kids in the mail and it has quickly become my all-time favorite! You know when you’re shopping for books online and the cover draws you in with its catchy title and promising activities to keep the kids entertained for hours? So of course you order it but then once you start flipping through, you realize that only a few projects really seem doable? The Superkids Activity Guide is unlike any of those! This book is not only full of unique, doable, fun, parent and kid-loving activities, but it really speaks to kids and presents them with a powerful tool to guide them through their emotions and behaviors. Dayna Abraham’s new book, The Superkids Activity Guide to Conquering Every Day: Awesome Games and Crafts to Master Your Moods, Boost Focus, Hack Mealtimes, and Help Grown-Ups Understand Why You Do the Things You Do is unlike any other activity book for kids I’ve read. Within moments you can very easily see that this book truly was a labor of love and the immense passion that went into the creation of this guide. If you aren’t immediately drawn in by the colorful and full-page images, the easy-to-follow activity guides no doubt will. Beside each image is the how and why behind the activity and it is written directly to the child, which we thought was really unique and fun.
After getting a quick sneak peek (Miss 6 was eager to get her hands on the book too!), I discovered so many activities that I wanted to try, including:
- What’s in Your Backpack Shrinky Dink Zipper Charms (you know how much we love Shrinky Dink projects!)
- Marvelously Moody Pizzas
- Pool Noodle Obstacle Course
What I especially love about The Superkids Activity Guide (besides everything I’ve already mentioned, lol!) is that Dayna really empowers children and shows them that they are unique, special, and creative.
If you are a parent, caregiver, or know anyone with children, I cannot encourage you enough to pick up a copy (or three or four …). There is so much more I could go on and on about how much I love this book but you know how I like to cut to the chase. 🙂 Honestly, this book is one of those books that will never make it to the bookshelf because it’s just used too much to be buried away.
I’d love to hear your thoughts on the book if you do decide to make it yours. Which activity are you excited to try first? Which one is your child most excited about?
