This rainbow ring toss DIY made from Perler beads is the perfect activity for kids. It is super easy to make, incorporates a bit of educational fun, and is great for eye-hand coordination.

Oh, Perler beads! Such a classic! Read on to see how we made this fun rainbow ring toss.
What You’ll Need
- Perler beads
- Circle and square pegboard
- Ironing paper (or parchment paper)
- Iron
- 2″ wood disc or cardboard
- Hot glue gun
What to Do
Begin by making your Perler bead rings. we started by making the largest ring we could, and we made it in red (although the photo below shows orange- the computer ate our red ring photo- oops!). Cover your beads with your ironing paper and iron them until your beads have thoroughly fused together. We set our iron on high heat and it only took several seconds for them to fuse together.

We continued this by making our next ring (orange) one size smaller. Continue doing this until you’ve made all your rings (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple).

Next, make a Perler bead stick by placing about 12 Perler beads in a row on a square pegboard, cover, and iron until fused. Once cool, glue to your wood disc with a hot glue gun.

Now it’s time to play!
