What are Acrostic Poems?
Each acrostic poem has a main topic that runs vertically along the left side of the paper. Then, to make your own, you would add a short phrase or word that starts with that letter and corresponds to the main topic.
So, for example, your acrostic poem for apples might be:
A yummy treat
P ie comes from it
P lease dish me up some more
L ucky me
E ating apples and pie
S urely I can never get enough apple pie!

How to Organize Your Acrostic Poem Pages
- If you decide to print out more than a few of the acrostic poem pages, you may want to contain them a bit.
- If you’d like, you can either hole punch them and place them in a binder, or punch them with this and bind them to create your own poetry book!
- You could even cut them out a bit (or print them two to a page) and paste them into a spiral notebook along with your other printables or coloring pages.
