Want to save money on ink?

Several months ago we (finally!!) signed up for the HP Instant Ink program and are loving it! They offer several different plans (such as $4.99 for 100 pages a month) and will automatically send you new cartridges before you even need them.

We are now saving SO MUCH money (and time) on ink and I don’t feel guilty about printing out new printables and playdough mats each day.

If you want to check it out, ordering through our link here will give you one free month of service.

You can use just about any HP printer but we’ve been using this compact one and absolutely love it! The color is gorgeous and matches my decor (we’ll call that a win!) and the size is smaller than any printer I’ve ever owned which is great for small spaces (or living room/dining room offices).

Between HP Instant Ink and our compact printer, my printing life truly has become so much easier to print all these fun playdough mats and activity sheets we’ve been making lately.

After you’ve printed your scavenger hunt printable, attach it to your clipboard, get your pencils or crayons, and head outside.

This printable is perfect for those fall nature walks outside and will not only encourage your child to explore the nature around them but will also make for a fun art project.

You could keep this activity super easy and simply invite your child to draw what they find during their nature walk or you could use this activity to lead to an entire series of art inspired by their findings.

You could invite your child to paint a larger scene, including everything they found on their nature walk. Or, maybe they want to learn more about a particular item from their scavenger hunt – a particular seed, for example. A trip to the local library might be fun, where you and your child could search for books on different seeds.

You could also invite your child to create paintings of their favorite seeds. Or, sculpt a clay seed. The possibilities are endless!
