Counting coins is one of the most practical early math skills your child will learn. Count pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters with these free downloadable coin-counting piggy bank clip cards. They’re an easy way to get in a little extra coin counting practice and we’re sure your little ones will enjoy these just as much as ours have.

These coin-counting clip cards are a fun alternative to worksheets and work perfectly with clothespins, glass stones, playdough, dry-erase markers, math counters, and more. To see all the fun, please continue reading below.

Preparing your piggy bank cards

  1. Begin by downloading and printing the coin-counting piggy bank clip cards.
  2. Laminate the cards. You can cut them out first if you’d like but if you’d like to save some time, you can laminate first and cut second.
  3. Cut out the cards.

Once you’ve printed, laminated, and cut out your coin-counting cards, it’s time to have some fun!

How to use the coin-counting piggy bank printables

To play, simply place the clip cards and clothespins out for your child and invite your child to select one card, count the value of the coins, and clip a clothespin onto the correct value. Continue until they have clipped all the cards.

Don’t have clothespins? You could also use small balls of playdough, glass stones, buttons, or pom poms.  The possibilities are endless!

Hi!

The link to the resource library is found on each page containing a free printable under the "What to Do" section. A couple sentences in, you should see a sentence that states "Or, if you are already a current newsletter subscriber, click here to access our resource library of free printables."

I hope that helps!
