What is Succulent Studios?

Succulent Studios is a monthly succulent plant subscription box that brings you the most unique variety of succulents from Southern California right to your door.

Prefer not to go the subscription route? Check out these succulents!

Inside your carefully curated Succulent Studios box are two 8-week-old succulents. Grown at their second-generation nursery in Fallbrook, CA, they plan each month’s succulents based on seasonality and hardiness to provide you with the most stunning, unique, and healthy new plant friends!

Each succulent comes planted in coconut coir and potted in a 2″ biodegradable, earth-friendly pot that is carefully secured in its box. Your baby succulents will be happy and healthy in these pots for 1-2 rounds of watering (a few weeks), at which point their pots will begin softening and should be planted into new homes. Just place your succulent–pot and all–into a container of your choice (preferably one with drainage holes), and surround it with soil. After a few months, the original pot will have completely degraded! S

Care instructions to the rescue! Your subscription box also comes with plant identification cards and care instructions to help you be the best plant parent you can be.

Succulent Studios Cares About the Environment

Succulent Studios takes pride in growing these hardy little plants using only organic media and fertilizers. They believe it’s long overdue and vitally important for businesses to operate with our earth and future generations in mind, which is why they use biodegradable pots and 100% plastic-free packaging. They’ve made it their mission to walk this earth more gently and do their part for a brighter, greener future.

  1. Plants clean the air (this is one of our favorite books on the subject)
  2. Taking care of baby plants teaches kids’ responsibility (do they need more sun? more water? a new pot?)
  3. Plants minimize allergies
  4. These are easier to take care of than pets and some may argue just as cute 😉
  5. It’s educational – each box includes double-sided info cards
  6. Plants reduce stress levels and make people happy
  7. I know, I said 6 reasons but here’s one more: It’s affordable (seriously, some subscription boxes are pricy but this isn’t one of them!)

Our Thoughts on Succulent Studios

I wasn’t sure what to expect as I’ve never ordered plants online but they were packed well and the informational cards were such a great addition – I will definitely hold on to them for future reference.

When Miss just-turned-3 saw the plants, her eyes lit up and she exclaimed, “Awww, cute, baby plants!!”

This looks like a truly interesting box. I love succulents as I'm a know black-thumb gardener, and these tend to stand up against that... usually. Thank you for sharing about them.
